Taylor Leese

Taylor Leese - Milos Ventures Founder and Partner

A technology infrastructure engineer from San Francisco, Taylor Leese has more than two decades of experience as a systems engineer, including leading organizations of 200-plus engineers. In his most recent role, Taylor Leese was the senior director of Grid Storage & Streams at LinkedIn.

Prior to working with LinkedIn, Mr. Leese held various positions beginning in 2003, including his role as a software developer for Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He also worked for the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as computer scientist for two years beginning in 2009. In 2011, Mr. Leese was hired as an engineering manager at StackMob where he remained until 2015 when a major social media company hired him as senior manager. He remained working for this social media platform as a director of software engineering and senior director until 2022.

In 2022, Mr. Leese began his latest role as senior director at LinkedIn. Some of his accomplishments include being involved with the LinkedIn technology migration from Kafka to Northguard. He also led data infrastructure through its first deployments on Kubernetes.

In addition to his role at LinkedIn, Mr. Leese launched Milos Ventures, a firm that invests in AI, robotics, energy, and CleanTech. OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, and Scale AI are a few of the companies he has invested in.
